What I Treat
TMJ Dysfunction or Jaw Pain
Jaw (or “TMJ”) disorders affect around 1/3 of the adult population! Symptoms can include: jaw noises, limited opening or closing, pain at rest or using the jaw, tinnitus (ringing in the ear), fullness in the ear, and even headaches. While many commonly used treatments just involve protecting your teeth (night guard), physical therapists are uniquely equipped to treat the underlying issues from a movement perspective. Head position, strength, and mobility are all crucial to improving the underlying cause of pain. I have been treating TMJ dysfunction for more than a decade with great success sometimes in only a few treatments. You don’t have to live with jaw pain!
Chronic Pain and Persistent Conditions
It can be hard to sift through the overwhelming information to find the right direction of treatment for chronic pain or persistent conditions affecting your function. I have years of experience in working with people with a variety of diagnoses: fibromyalgia, long covid, POTS, myofascial pain syndrome, centralized sensitivity, CRPS. chronic fatigue syndrome, etc. If you have “failed” other therapies, have been flared up by other physical therapists, or felt like your provider didn’t truly see you, let me help serve you as an information filter and guide, as I have helped others to feel more empowered to address symptoms.
Performing Arts
As a former professional dancer, I know the demands of performing. As a physical therapist, I’ve worked with dancers at the Glorya Kaufman USC Cedars Sinai Dance Medicine Center, musicians including those from the Thornton School of Music, opera singers, and more. Starting from a movement analysis perspective and considering the broad scope of what it means for a performer on and off the stage, I approach your care with curiosity and creativity.

Absolutely! I am able to see clients located in California for physical therapy (the state that I am licensed in) and have had good success with telehealth appointments.
-
Possibly! If you are dealing with a condition or concern I haven’t mentioned, send me a message to connect. If I don’t think I’m the right provider, we can discuss other possible resources or directions for appropriate care.
